  1. Rock climbing is a sport originally an 
  2. integral part of mountaineering. It began as 
  3. a form of training for Alpine expeditions and 
  4. is now divided into three categories: the 
  5. outcrop climb for climbs of up to 30m 
  6. (100ft), the crag climb on cliffs of 30-300m 
  7. (100-1,000ft), and the big wall climb, which 
  8. is the nearest thing to Alpine climbing, but 
  9. without the hazards of snow and ice.
